  The next day, it was almost eleven in the night and there was no sign of Ashton yet. He hadn’t called her after the previous night when he informed her that his work was done. She had tried his number early the next morning but it was switched off. She thought he had boarded his flight and waited for more than nine hours.   “He should be here by now.
