As they reached the parking of his penthouse, Ashton helped her out of the car.
He pecked her lips, "Sweetheart, you go inside. I have got to review and sign few documents at work. It is kind of urgent and needs to be finished before tonight. I'll be back in an hour or two." He looked down at her apologetically.
"Alright.. Just come home safe." She smiled at him. He knew that she was trying to hide her disappointment.
He kissed her forehead before letting her walk inside the building. He knew she would be mad at him for leaving her alone. She was here to spend time with him and it was not fair on his side to ditch her like that on her first day of arrival but he had planned so much for her. To execute it without any flaws, it was justifiable to leave her for a few hours.
