Ashton jerked up from his sleep when he heard Katherine’s bloodcurdling scream.
“Kathy.. Kathy.. look at me.. Kathy..” He sat up on his knees and tried to wake her up from the bad dream that she was having. For the past four days, she had hardly slept more than an hour and when she did, she would wake up with a cold sweat, screaming and panting.
“Ashton.. she is hurt.. oh no.. my baby is hurt..” Her body shook violently as she cried loudly.
Ashton pulled her on his lap and began to rock her against his chest, “No.. Its’s just a bad dream..”
“I saw it, Ashton. Crystal was crying when they hurt her..” She sobbed as she pulled away and looked into his eyes. He looked miserable himself with those dark circle under his eyes and days of unshaven beard.
