Katherine was sitting on the balcony, facing the setting sun that streaked the evening sky with a light shade of pink. She had been trying James’s number the whole week but it remained always switched off.
Did something bad happen to him after their meeting? Or did he simply lie to her about it all?
She felt like a fool for confronting Callie without any proof. She hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep in a long time. She hadn’t eaten properly. She was pressurizing herself too much and that reflected in her performance at work.
Laura visited her after that evening they met at Joanne’s kitchen and apologized to her about her rude behaviour but that obviously didn’t mean she believed in her accusations nor did Katherine want to mention about it again to Laura.
