Chapter Fifty- Threads of Fate  The darkness was soft, like velvet drawn over her eyes. Evandra floated within it, untethered, the sounds of snarls and steel and blood-soaked stone fading until they were nothing. And then, light. Silvery, gentle, radiant. The kind of light that was not blinding, but embracing. It curled around her like a mother’s arms. She knew before she even lifted her gaze who stood there. The Moon Goddess.
