“Will you marry me again, Geoff Montagnier?” I fired right away.
And the deafening silence stretched between us for a few minutes.
I saw how Geoff’s body went frozen after hearing what I said. He looked at me with disbelief in his eyes. His mouth continued to close and open like he was trying himself to utter a word but he seemed to lose his voice to throw a reaction.
I waited for him to react for a couple more minutes, but it seems that he hasn’t recovered yet from the shock.
