Chapter 36 Arthur asked Hilda if she had anything she wanted to ask him. After finishing the soup Arthur had prepared, Hilda placed the bowl back on the tray and took the glass of milk he handed her. “Like what?” Hilda asked, cradling the warm glass between her palms as she gently blew on it. She was still weak, but it was nothing compared to earlier. “I think I’ve learned enough... heard enough... while I was asleep,” she whispered. “I don’t want to complicate things anymore.
