Chapter 26 Hilda frowned as she stood outside the stockroom, puzzled that she couldn't feel anyone's presence inside. She knew Aron was supposed to be there—he had told her he’d wait. She wandered around the area until she reached the far side of the stockroom, where the shelves stood empty. Her feet carried her there instinctively. That was when she saw a figure. Aron was slumped against one of the shelves, fast asleep. Without making a sound, Hilda approached and sat quietly in front of him.
