Dave and Joshua kept running as fast as they could, it wasn't only lightning that was falling from the skies towards their direction. Fireballs too were also hailing to the ground at random spots. This caused Joshua and Dave to run in a zig-zag movement so the entourage would be unable to pinpoint their exact locations.
"I have all the time in the world to do this," the old woman laughs cruelly to herself.
"But we don't," Joshua thought to himself as he looked to Dave. "We've got to get out of her radar."
"Way ahead of you," Dave said as he produced magic beans from his pocket. "While you were busy taunting Max and Zenaida, I surveyed the environment a bit. You are familiar with the myth, Jack and the beanstalk."
"You mean the one where the dumbass stupidly sold his family's last hope for some beans," Joshua answers him.
"That's not the part I wanted to draw reference to," Dave sighs. "The giant beanstalk is what I am trying to get your attention at, it was able to reach the heavens in that fairytale."
"So you are likening the skies in this case to the heavens in your fairytale," Joshua couldn't help but smile, he was beginning to understand what Dave was talking about.
"You bastards!!! Do you think ascending to the skies is gonna get you automatically to your world?"
"As I said earlier," Dave smiles to himself. "No entourage's ability is very convenient, other than conditions, there's always a loophole. Do you remember how you brought us here?"
"I dragged you here, you rude brats!!!"
"What you mean to say," Dave spits in his front. "Was that you transferred energies to our consciousness capable of tearing the barrier from the real world to this virtual one helping us break through the third wall and voila, we found ourselves here."
"What the hell are you saying???"
"In case the waste of matter you refer to as a brain is incapable of understanding," Joshua smirks. "We are gonna use the giant beanstalk to reach the skies, we will siphon your energy and get the f**k out of here!!!"
"Is that even possible? You lack the means to do that, only an entourage can siphon the energy of another entourage."
"You have been with the J for a while," Joshing kept grinning evilly. "There are only two reasons why people ever say anything is impossible; the first is when they have seen people fail over and over again, the second is when they do not know of anyone attempting it."
Dave threw the bean seeds forward, it landed in his spit, and like magic, the beanstalk shot from the ground at an unbelievable speed.
"Entourages are ethereal manifestations of spiritual energy and soul essence. Man is a spirit, he lives in a body and has a soul. At the moment, J and I are but spirits," Dave grins. "It's still possible for us to interact with an entourage."
Dave ends as he grabbed onto a leaf that rose higher in the sky as the beanstalk kept growing rapidly. Joshua smiled to himself as he held one of the branches taking him higher in the air.
"Of all the spirits that I have trapped here, no one has ever reasoned the way these two have," the old woman thought to herself, sweat breaking off her forehead. "No one has attempted trying to reach my entourage in the sky, I could call them on their bluffs but J and Dave have been succeeding at everything they have been doing since this began, I have to act."
"She's gonna fall for that mental trick," Dave grins as he looks in Joshua's direction. "Now, The portal gun."
"Sure man," Joshua smiles at him as he produced a small weapon from his back, he tossed it at Dave who caught it with his other arm, he began to jump from one branch to another trying to get to the top. Joshua followed similarly as he too kept jumping from one branch to another
Bolts of lightning began to hail down from the sky hitting the beanstalk consistently.
"Why do they carry a portal gun?" The woman thought to herself. "Portal guns require an immense amount of energy so the only way they will be able to charge it is by the streaks of lightning that keeps raining down. Was this action just bait for me to rain down lightning. Those cunny f***s, once again, they tricked me, there was no way they could siphon the energy of an entourage while as spirits. If they could, they would have done it back at the car. These idiots are making me look gullible."
Balls of fire began to fall from the skies, Dave skillfully dropped as he uses his right arm to grab onto a branch, from there. He swung to another branch. "J, I am guessing she figured out our little trick."
"It's too late for that," Joshua smiles at him as he held up the portal gun. "It's already fully charged."
"I WON'T LET YOU GET OUT OF MY SIGHT ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS WHERE YOU SHALL BE VANQUISHED!!!!!!!"
Hundreds of small goblins fell from the sky as they began to run down from the top of the beanstalk towards Joshua and Dave, the two had put on their most confident looks on their faces.
"I am the J," Joshua grins as he raised the portal gun upwards and fired. A portal materialized in the air. Dave jumped inside. "I always win," Joshua grins as he raised the middle finger of his right arm and jumped into the portal. The horde of goblins was about to reach the portal but it vanished immediately causing most of them to fall towards the ground.
"This ability is really limiting," the woman thought to herself. "I am only allowed to directly create things in my world and not destroy them at a whim," she bit her lower lip. "The portal gun can only create portals to a place the user had in mind before clicking it. I have been monitoring those two annoying kids from the moment they entered here, the only places they are aware of are the city outskirts, and the city itself. The ammo in their weapons have been exhausted, I made sure of that in their last battle so if they were stupid enough to get to the outskirts, they are going to definitely die, I have sent hundreds of orcs and goblins around there," the old woman kept muttering to herself while sitting on the bench, her granddaughter laid asleep beside her. Her spirit was gone from her body, it was in the game. She occasionally got stares from passersby who thought she was crazy, she ignored them as she kept muttering to herself. "It's time the demon king gets his chance to evade the city, this is the most crucial moment, where it all ends."
Max saw a new notification pop up on his screen. #THE CITY IS UNDER SIEGE, REPORT TO DESIGNATED SPOT, YOU HAVE TO DEFEND THE CITY!!!!!#
"What's happening?" Max begins. "I thought you said chasing those two bandits would mean crippling the Demon King's forces."
"It's supposed to," Zenaida said as she thought frantically to herself. "Why is Grandma getting all hysterical, she must have lost sight of J and Dave again, knowing her, I trust she didn't use the same trick twice." She ends as she looks towards the city. "The only reason why Grandma would control the demon forces to attack the city is if she was pushed to the wall. I am guessing Dave and J used a portal gun and right now, Grandma has no idea where there are," it was then that her eyes lit up. She looked through her pouch which was tightly hitched around her waist.
Hurriedly, she removed a paper from it, she couldn't help but feel sweat fall from her forehead. The paper had been in the exact spot she had put it, directly under a jar of her portion but it was slightly squeezed at the edge. She recalled when Joshua had come towards her, he sucker-punched her with his weaker arm(left arm). He must have then used his other(right arm) to go through her pouch, he was extremely careful for him to have been able to put the paper at its exact spot but he underestimated her meticulousness. "J has an eidetic memory, he must have memorized all the places and spots on my map," she thought to herself, trying not to lose her cool. Speaking quickly to Max who was beside her. "We have got to go, the mountains pass is the abode of the demon king and his dragons."
"I thought our priority was the city?" Max asks.
"It is but there's no way an additional two can help the city in more ways than it's getting right now," Zenaida explains to him. "But if we get to Mountain's pass, and defeat the demon king, all his spawns would immediately vanish."
"Alright then," Max grins as he held his console more tightly. "Let's roll!!!"
"Hang on," Zenaida says as she began muttering a spell. A giant white phoenix appeared before them. She quickly jumped on it, looking over in Max's direction. "Hop on!!" She commands.
Maxingham hoped on immediately, Zenaida pulled the reins on the phoenix, it ascended in the air as it flew speedily from the ground.
"This is impossible?!" The old man was extremely worried. "Every house has been destroyed in the city, I am capable of seeing everything directly under the sky. Yet, why can't I neither see Dave nor J. What kind of bastards are those two," she could feel sweat falling from her forehead, she was confused and hysterical. "Where did I go wrong?"
"Babushka!!!!" she heard her granddaughter call from the game. Her entourage looked down to see her daughter and a knight sitting on top of a phoenix that was flying through the skies.
"I know where Dave and J are," she informs her grandma. "J crammed everything about my map, if my intuition is correct which it always is, they are heading for mountains pass. They know they can find a way to get out of here through beating the demon king."
