Having delved into conspiracy, and political games and counter-games, I wanted to do something different. This called for something I’ve almost never written in all of my books—a true villain.
Now, of course, the villain doesn’t think of herself that way; she’s a fighter for a cause. But to Miranda and her team, she’s the incarnation of evil personified. And Elayne is definitely not nice.
