“Let’s stop thinking about this for now,” Yvonne suggested brightly. “Forrest, didn’t you bring back some arrowroot? Let’s cook them!” “Alright,” I agreed. “Maybe we could make arrowroot chips or something. I know we haven’t got any oil, but I’m getting a little tired of boiled food.” “Sure!” Yvonne chirped. “I’m down to try something new. I don’t think you’re the only one who’s sick of something boiled, too. Maybe we can peel the skin off the arrowroot tubers before we slice them up.” Fortunately, I had managed to get enough tubers to feed everybody, since each tuber was quite thick and long.
