Strangely enough, Euphie did not question me further. So, of course, I was naturally concerned. Euphie had always been perceptive—she knew when and how to dig up what she wanted. Because of this, I had been bracing myself for an interrogation, made worse by that burning gaze of hers. But then, Euphie did the opposite of that, deciding not to pursue the matter. If I was being honest, it left me a little flabbergasted.
