I must have made some sort of sound, because the woman I had been watching let out a sharp gasp. The hand that had been f*****g herself wildly stopped, and she glanced around, swivelling her head slowly from left to right. Despite the fact that the presence of someone else had to be alarming, she displayed very little alarm. Only the cessation of her m**********n signaled that she was trying to figure out who the intruder was.
“Who’s there?” she called out, her voice dreamy and languid. “I know there’s someone there. Is it the man whom I’ve been following around?” Damn it! I had no choice but to reveal myself, especially since she had just told me that she had been following me around, confirming my instincts about the rustling sounds I had heard earlier.
