Nicholas had to be hiding some sort of information from us, based on what he had said about how we didn’t know everything about the place. I narrowed my eyes as I stared at his retreating back, feeling anger flare up in me. If he really had been sincere about joining us, then he wouldn’t have hidden the information from me, I thought. I had better be careful – he’s probably planning to keep the information from us so that we’ll have to rely on him at some point of time. For the rest of the afternoon, I made more arrows. I had to think of some way to store them, since there was nothing readymade that I could use as a quiver. The plastic bottles we had were too precious to be used as quivers, and so I had made no progress on that front. Still, having enough arrows was better than not having
