"The monkey?" Euphie blurted. Elsa had an incredulous look on her face, too. Both of them turned to stare at Yvonne after hearing what I had said. Even Yvonne looked stunned, trying to tilt her head upward to look at the little creature seated on her shoulders without unseating it. Eerily enough, the monkey realized that it was the center of attention! It stopped grooming Yvonne's hair, looking up from the top of her head, and stared at each of us in turn.
