Guess what? Nicholas and Dave had no idea how to butcher a hog at all. "Fish and chicken I can do, but a goddamn pig?" Dave muttered, shaking his head as we heaved the wild boar into the river. We began washing it off, making sure that the pig was as free of mud as it could be before we began. Before I began, anyway, since the two of them had never butchered a large animal before. "I've only seen deer butchered," I panted as we heaved the pig back out of the water, setting it down on the river bank.
