Suddenly, Briana fell to the ground, disoriented. One minute she was riding away on Kirlin's back, and the next she was on the ground in a strange place. She stood up immediately and drew her sword, trying to see through the darkness.
"No, Briana!" Colin yelled from his cave prison on the side of the mountain. "What are you doing here?"
"Colin?" Briana asked, confused as she scanned her surroundings for the danger. "Come! Let us leave this place."
"Not so fast," a strong male voice said behind her. Unfortunately, it was a voice that Briana knew all too well.
"Dracon," she said, wheeling around abruptly, raising her sword with both hands as she donned her fighting stance. "I should have known that you were behind this."
