Ruth let out a frustrated breath but schooled her features, not for the first time during the meeting with Hudson Media.
Demi had muscled her way into the meeting, and Craig had defended his PA being there. She was attempting to passive-aggressively, undermine Ruth at every given opportunity. As she fluttered her eyes at Becket Samuels, before turning to Devon and placing her hand on his arm like a possessive girlfriend. Ruth could have felt jealous, but she noticed how, although Devon looked like the consummate professional, his body language screamed that he was more than a little uncomfortable by the actions of his former PA. Ruth decided enough was enough, and she harnessed her fledgling confidence.
