Amanda’s POV
Sinubukan kong tawagan ulit si Kaiden. He’s acting strange again. Hindi naman siguro siya galit dahil nahuli ako kanina? O baka dahil umalis ako sa kalagitnaan ng trial?
Napabuntong-hininga ako. I don’t know what’s going unto his mind. The last time I remember, I was used to him acting so cold and ignoring me out of nowhere, but now it feels so heavy.
My heart skipped a beat when he answered. Akala ko ay hindi na ito sasagot.
“Kaiden, what happened? Is there anything wrong? Saan ka pupunta?” Kaagad na bungad ko rito sa kabilang linya.
“Nothing’s wrong, Amanda. I’m trying so hard to be reasonable here. I just probably need some rest, I’m going home. The trial ended, and it will surely go according to our plan. I’m hanging up. I’ll see you tomorro—
