The noise of the birds chirping immediately woke Lydia up. It was mostly what often woke her up. Apparently, her garden was filled with all sorts of nests and now it was a proud house for a lot of beautiful birds that chirp all day long, all night now as well. For a lot of people in this house, it was quite disturbing but for Lydia, it was actually calming.
