“Once you have read that, then we can talk further about everything,” Mom added.
Mom glared at everyone, and they all got up.
She also got up and her eyes landed on me, and she smiled gently before leaving.
I looked at Darius who was just looking at the letter and I patted his back.
“I will leave you alone,” I said getting up to leave but he held my hand.
“Please sit with me,” he said, and I nodded as I sat down.
I looked at him and noticed that his hand was trembling as he was holding the letter.
“Please read it to me, I can’t see anything,” he said and looked at me.
His eyes were filled with tears, and I understood why.
I nodded and took the letter from him and took a deep breath.
His mother had a beautiful and elegant writing.
