Ashton’s pov
“Father in law, can we have a drink?” Darius asked me.
I looked at him confused but nodded anyway as I poured us a glass each.
“What is this about?” I asked him and he smiled.
“What you told me the other day, it had me thinking,” he said, and I looked at him confused.
“What did I say?” I asked him and he just smiled.
“How much you regret the things that happened. I mean between you and your wife,” he said, and it clicked.
I did tell him that I regret not choosing Taylor back then.
Sometimes when I look at her at feels like she resents me for not choosing her.
For the longest time, I thought that she was forced to be with me because she was already pregnant.
Maybe it was just the guilt talking, but I have resented myself for what I did to her.
