1898 Words
Crystal was hesitant to go to Mi Paraiso because of Gabriel, but feeling thrilled because of Jason's comeback and excited to see the man. After her tail turned to a pair of legs and feet, she immediately ran towards her chamber and took a quick shower. She wore jeans and a flowy sleeveless top. She excitedly ran out of the shack, but just after striding a few steps, she already had a sight of the man who was walking in her direction. She halted as she narrowed her eyes on the person trying to recognize the image and a smile crept on her face when she finally identified the person until they were just a foot apart. Then, with no further words, Jason embraced Crystal's body tightly. “Your back.” Crystal utter with her shaky voice. “I love you. I hope you can still give me a chance.” Jason whispered without releasing her body. Crystal pushed him slightly and looked up at him. “But, I’m a siren,” she frowned. “I don’t care, Crystal. It doesn’t bother me anymore, whatever you are.” he lovingly said under the brightness of the moon and star while caressing her face gently with his fingers. Crystal smiled at him, trying to resist the tears that were about to fall from the corner of her eyes.  “Are you sure?” “Never been felt so sure,” holding her hand and pulling her for a kiss.  The kiss seems sweeter than the first time they have shared. Crystal pulled her hands from his grip and wrapped them around his neck as she let the man deepen the kiss. While Jason's hands move to her waist and the back of her head.  “Wait.” Crystal suddenly pulled away. “I need to go to Mi Paraiso. Margaux might be furious if I still don’t show up.” She explained. “No. From now on, you are not going back to that place again.” Jason let out, still holding her waist. “What? But I-” “No, don’t argue with it.” putting a finger on top of her lips and pecking it again. “By the way, what happened to the mission you’re working on in Mi Paraiso?” she inquired. “It’s none of your business anymore, sweetheart. Come, we have a lot to catch up on.” He said, pulling the lady toward his car. He opened the passenger’s door for Crystal before he turned and settled himself on the driver’s side.  “By the way, are you feeling better now?” He inquired as he started the engine. “Yes, thank you for taking care of me last night.”  “That’s nothing, sweetheart. I’m sorry if I haven’t come back early. My superior called me for a meeting about Margaux’s case and we learned that Sebastian Jones has returned to Creekwood.” he informed her which reminded the lady that she has a deal with Margaux to stay with that client for a night and was just thankful that Jason came at the right time. “Jason, I thought you already left me for good.'' Suddenly Crystal mumbled, but the man only clasped her hand and brought it to his lips, kissing her knuckles. “I will let no one harm you. I will protect you as much as I can,” Jason muttered while he focused his eyes on the road ahead. Jason brought Crystal to his apartment while the lady quickly noticed the two pieces of luggage placed in front of the door, but just ignored it and continued her step inside. Jason gestures to her to sit on the couch, which she gladly obeys. “I’m sure you’re hungry, we’ll just order a pizza, is that fine?” he told her and Crystal nodded in response. He pulls out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number while Crystal is busy examining his place, which looks different from before. She also wonders why most of his stuff is placed in big boxes. “Jason? Are you moving out?” she suddenly inquired after he ended the call. The man kneeled in front of her before he answered. “Yes. you’re coming with me, right?” He begged, looking up at her eyes while waiting for her answer. “What?” She is shocked and confused. “We are leaving Creekwood tonight.” “What? But why?” Jason heaved a deep sigh before he answers, “Margaux is planning to sell you out tonight and we will not let that happen.” “What do you mean?” Crystal got confused. "One of my lookouts in paradise has warned me and I’m not allowing that to happen, Crystal.” he firmly stated, looking into her eyes, but Crystal only frowned. “Why? Are you not coming with me?” with his pleading eyes. “But what if I turned?” she asked worriedly. “That's why we are leaving tonight. I’m sure we’ll arrive in the nearest town before the sun rises. Would you mind soaking your tail in a lake?" He asked with a playful smirk. “No, but Jason, why are you doing this to me? You might be in danger too for doing this and I don’t want that to happen as well.” cupping his face. “Because I love you,” he answered, and abruptly kissed the lady.  “And I miss you. You do not know how I suffer just to forget about you but this time, I will not let you swim away from me again.” holding her both hands. "I don't know what to say," Crystal's only response while looking down at their intertwined hands. "No need to say anything, love." Then Jason pulled her for a kiss, holding the back of her neck with closed eyes.   The intimate feelings drowned Jason and Crystal while they were making out on the sofa when suddenly the doorbell rang. "Must be the pizza already." Jason pulled away and pecked Crystal one last time before he stood up and walked to the door. But instead of pizza delivery, Margaux's three bulky bouncers surprised them and unexpectedly pushed Jason harshly on the wall. "Get her!" The one said while holding his both hands behind and the back of his head while the other man fumbled around his body and pulled out a gun that was hiding behind on his waistband. "No!" Jason groaned angrily as he kept on resisting their hold, but the nasty men didn't adhere to his demand and kept their way to the lady, who was now trembling with fear. "No, please. I don't want to go with you!" Crystal restrained, wagging her arms that they are gripping tightly. "Leave her!" Again Jason didn't give up and kicked the man that was holding him, he shortly then followed with another punch that made the man collapse to the floor. Unfortunately, the one that is holding Crystal pulled a gun from his other hand and shot Jason without blinking his eyes. While the other man kicks Jason, who is badly enduring his bleeding wound until he passes out. "No! Jason!" Crystal screamed, with tears on her face. She tried pulling out her arm again and furiously hit the man with her knuckles, but she had no match with the strong being. "Get off me! Jason!" She keeps on shouting but the person she is calling can't hear her calls because the drowsiness overpowered and pulled him into a dark slumber. The man dragged Crystal, then abruptly carried her on his shoulder before they got out of the apartment, leaving the lifeless-looking Jason. Crystal keeps on hitting him on the back and kicking her feet. "What did you do to him!?" "Stop resisting! You w***e!" The man angrily groaned. The people who witness the scene close their doors as they walk past them in the hall. Suddenly one man came closer to Crystal and tapped a handkerchief on her mouth. "No! No!" She resisted, but she lost when the man’s fabric successfully covered her mouth and nose. Slowly, Crystal felt drowsy, and not a second later, her body became limp and she passed out. ***** Crystal's head was still aching when she woke up, but unfortunately, she couldn't see anything because of the blindfold covering her eyes with dark color. They even tied her both wrists together on her back and her feet as well. She moved and sat up, putting her both feet on the rough ground. "Ouch!" She winced in pain when she abruptly stood up and hit the hard ceiling of the car and that’s when she heard someone with a man's sound, laughing softly at her pitiful condition. "Who are you? Where are you taking me!?" she asked with her firm yet shaking voice, but the person she's with didn't respond to her. "Get me out of her!" She madly demanded while nudging the door on her side, but still got no answer.  Crystal is feeling frightened and worried, remembering what happened to Jason back at his apartment. Her heart crumpled in pain, knowing that someone got hurt because of her again. 'Why is this always happening? I really loathe this curse! And this life!' She furiously hissed at herself as she started whimpering, feeling so down. Also, she hates the fact that her curse not only brought pain into her life but also to others who are trying to protect her. Aside from being concerned for Jason, she is also having trouble thinking about herself getting busted once her tail takes over her legs when the sun rises. "Please, I'm begging you. Let me get out." She begged, but the person seemed to be deaf to her pleas. After a long time of pleading with her cries, the car halted for somewhere she didn't know. She jerked her head around, trying to hear something, but got no hint except the sound of the car's engine shutting off and opening the door. Suddenly, her entire body trembled when the side of her door opened. "Who are you!? What do you want from me!?" she cried, asking the person while she moved away from the open door. "Don't touch me!" She even tried kicking, even though with her tied feet. But the man does not shake a bit and abruptly catches her feet, pulling her out of the car. "Please, no!"  The man carried her by the shoulder as she kept on resisting, even though her wrist and ankle felt hurtful and probably had cut already because of the rope's rigid grip. She felt they had entered an elevator because of the floating sensation she felt. Then, just after a few seconds, the man continued carrying her and heard a doorknob crooked. Until the man laid her on a soft mattress that made her even more scared. "Please, no. I'll do everything, just please let me go." She is crying in fear, afraid of the possible thing that might happen next.
