“You know what? I learned you have had no experience in bed yet. Why is that?” Jason inquired as he leaned closer to Crystal.
“Wha-what do you mean?” She stammered, asking him back as she tried to avoid his eyes.
“I was just curious about how your ex-boyfriend resists himself not to take you, while every time you are close to me I feel like dying just to touch you?” he seriously asked as he kept on getting closer to her.
“What is it you have, Crystal? Why do I have this mysterious feeling towards you?”
“Ja-Jason, stop.” She said, curling up her body.
“What if, Margaux, ask you how’s your first night? What will you answer?” He continued on questioning, while their faces were already only inches apart.
“I-I do-don’t know.”
“What if we do it? So can you give her an appropriate answer?” He huskily whispered and started kissing her skin on the shoulder.
“No, please.” Crystal mumbled in a shaky voice. Jason sighed and closed his eyes, kissing her on the forehead before he pulled away.
“You don’t have to be scared. I will never hurt you,” he told her and went inside the bathroom to release the sudden desire that he knew he couldn't get right away. While it left Crystal dumbfounded as she held onto her chest because of the sudden rapid rate of her heartbeat. She moves and quickly changes her clothes into the ones she wore before she started the job.
“Crystal, I’m sorry about earlier.” Jason apologized when finally he went out of the bathroom.
“You don’t have to apologize, you did nothing wrong to me,” Crystal responded with a smile while wiping out the makeup she has on her face. He smiled back and sat on the bed near the bedside table, and dialed on the phone to order some food.
“You did good tonight, Crystal.” He remarked, facing her after his call, and pulled out a cheque.
“Here, it’s your first payment for the job.” he handed it to her.
“Thank you,” she muttered, looking at the piece of paper.
“And this,” handing her a small bottle with tiny pills inside.
“What is this for?”
“Take this always with you. In case someone will force you, just put one tablet on a drink and the person will be deeply asleep”
“But what about you? You said you’ll be protecting me when someone asks for me, right?”
“Yes, but we can’t always control the situation, Crystal. You also have to be brave and learn to protect yourself too.”
“Okay,” she answered in a very low tone, looking down at the bottle in her hand.
“I guess I have to go now. You can stay here until morning. I have already ordered food for you too.” He announced and stood up, all ready to leave, but Crystal stopped him by grabbing his hand.
“You can also stay here if you want to,” she offered.
“I don’t think I can last in this room till morning with you without…” He muttered, looking down at her luscious lips and heaved a deep sigh.
“I really have to go, Crystal. Take a rest and see you again tomorrow,” he said, kissing her forehead before he finally left the lady alone inside the hotel room.
*****
The next night, all eyes were on Crystal the moment she entered the dressing room. She amazes some ladies, while the others are jealous, just like Rose. Because no one has raised a price for her just like what Jason did to her.
“Lotus! How was your first night? I heard Mr. Gonzales was very fond of you and even requested another night with you. Did you enjoy it? Tell me!” Kaye excitedly inquired, but the lady didn't know how to answer and just gave her a timid smile.
“I’m sure she enjoyed it. Who wouldn’t be if that gorgeous Mr. Jason Gonzales laid you down on the bed.” the other angel interrupted.
“Is he huge?'' The one also asked while giggling and that made Crystal blushed, remembering the feeling when her sensitive pearl grinds against his and how it made a wonderful sensation just by that accidental touch.
“Oh, God! Lotus! You’re blushing! She enjoyed it, girls!” Kaye screeched in excitement.
“Yes, she surely did, because if not she’ll be crying by now instead of showing up again tonight.” Suddenly Margaux came and interrupted, walking in their direction. Everyone steered away to make a way for Margaux towards Crystal.
“You did a magnificent job, Lotus. You’re really making me proud of you.” Margaux complimented, holding Crystal on the chin. Crystal just smiled while Rose was scowling because of the attention that Lotus is receiving from everyone.
“Kaye, prepare Lotus quickly. I want her to be the first performer on stage tonight.” Margaux announced.
“But, Madam. I thought I was the first to perform on stage?” Rose complained.
“Dear, it’s always been you almost every night, right? I think it’s time to give others a chance as well.” Margaux told Rose, who only just walked away.
Once again, Crystal turned the crowd wild and excited but because of what Jason did the last night when he paid double for Crystal, her price becomes higher and the customers just become contented on watching the lady on stage. After her performance, Crystal took advantage to examine the entire place. Aside from the hall where the entertainers and customers are, the remaining area left is the backstage and the three rooms that are along the hall on the other side. Since she already entered the one last night, she still has three left to discover.
Crystal looked on both sides first before she moved and tried to twist the doorknob, but the door was locked. She reluctantly moved to the other door, and it opened, revealing a storage room for liquors and food that they are selling on the production floor. She is about to get in farther to examine the room, but she feels sudden goosebumps all over when she hears moans from a female and male voice. She quickly and silently got out of the room with shaky fingers, but when she successfully got out, Crystal accidentally bumped into someone and caged her into a corner.
“Ja-Jason?” she stammered.
“Meet me at the boulevard, after your duty here.” He said and noticed her shaking hands.
“What happened to you? Did you discover anything inside that room?” he asked worriedly.
“I-I don’t know.” she denied and pushed the man away then ran away, leaving the man wondering about her sudden expression.
Crystal ran to the washroom, but before she could get inside, she overheard Margaux talking with someone on the phone.
‘I’ll make sure everything is in place within seven months, and oh! By the way, I have a new angel. She’s young and mighty, I’m sure you’ll like her.’ Crystal swallowed nervously because she badly knew it was her that Margaux was talking about.
‘Unlucky for you. She just had her first night. You should have told me earlier.’
‘You’ll see when you get here.’ and with that, Crystal blew some air and acted like she just arrived at the area.
“Hi, Margaux.” She greeted her when she entered.
“Hi, dear Lotus. You did another successful performance, our sales doubled because of you, great job.” The aged woman praised her while washing her hands.
“That was nothing. I should thank you for accepting me again and giving me a job.” Crystal replied with a sweet smile.
“That’s my angel. You seemed to enjoy your job already in such a brief time. Is it because of what happened between you and Jason last night?” But Crystal suddenly felt shy when she mentioned his name and about last night.
“We’ll consider that as a yes then. But always keep in mind, whatever happened between you two is just plain business and has no feelings attached. Don't fall for whatever his sweet words were, you understand?” She fiercely warned her.
“Yes, madam.” Crystal politely answered.
“Good! And also, he’s a married man if he forgot to tell you.” Margaux added and smirked before she left Crystal.
‘Married?’ She repeated in her thoughts, which made her suddenly feel hesitant about something.
They have released Crystal from the club two hours before her switch, that’s why she only texted Jason to move their meeting the next night.
J: ‘Why? Can’t we meet in the morning instead?’ the man complained.
C: ‘I’ll be sleeping.’ Crystal shortly replied.
J: ‘I’ll drive you.’
C: ‘No need, Jason.’
But when Crystal arrived at the shack, Jason was already there, waiting. He is sitting on the bench outside.
“What are you doing here!?” she complained, with so much irritation in her voice. Jason stood up and walked closer to her.
“What’s the matter? I just want to discuss something with you.” But the lady just walked past him and opened the door.
“Go now. You can’t just come over here anytime you want. Besides, my work for tonight was over and so whatever you wanted to tell me, save it for later and let me rest. Please?” Crystal told Jason in a hostile way.
“Wait, what’s with that tone? Have I done something wrong?” Her behavior shocked Jason and turned to his back when Crystal undressed.
“You have. You shouldn’t have followed me here.” Crystal said and walked past him again. She’s now wearing a mint sundress that ends above her knees and ready to dive into the water.
“I thought you’ll be sleeping?”
“Just go away.” Her last words before she finally jumped into the water with her pouch, sling on her body.
Unfortunately, Jason doesn’t know how to swim and just left alone on the land, feeling defeated by Crystal’s sudden attitude towards him.
