“I’m sorry.” He apologized, looking up straight into her eyes.
“I don’t want to be here, let me go.” Again she insisted as she kept on sobbing, but Gabriel shook his head negatively.
“No, I can’t do that.”
“Why no? Those men shot Jason. I ha-” but Crystal couldn’t complete her words when Gabriel abruptly pinned her down on the bed, covering her mouth with his big hand.
“Don’t you dare let this mouth say any man’s name again or else I’ll make you regret it! Do you understand!?” he warned, looking like a savage with his fury eyes.
His sudden gesture shocked Crystal, and a terrifying sensation quickly spread throughout her entire system. Gabriel released her and stood up on his feet.
“Get up, take a shower and change your clothes.” He orders firmly but Crystal does not move as she only keeps on crying while covering her face with her palms. Gabriel heaved a deep sigh and carried her again in his arms.
"Put me down!" She shrieked, but Gabriel continued carrying her towards the bathroom and kicked the door close behind them.
He put her down on the cold floor inside the shower cubicle while holding her steady as he turned the shower on with his other hand. Crystal gasped when the water sprinkled down to her skin, soaking again her not-so-dry yet blouse. She puts her both arms in front of her to cover her body and turns to avoid the man seeing her naked again. Gabriel doesn’t mind her behavior and holds the hem of her blouse from behind and about to pull it up when she quickly stops him.
"No! I can do it, just get out." She demanded, waiting for the man to move out, but instead of listening to her, Gabriel squirts some shampoo on his palm, lathering it, and starts rubbing it into her hair.
"Gabriel, please. Get out!" She spun to look at the man with a fury gaze.
"I'm just outside. If you need anything, let me know." And literally, he stayed just behind the glass door of the shower.
"Gabriel! I said, get out!" Then Crystal yelled at him. The man, with a dull expression, took a glance at her one last time before he completely walked out of the bathroom.
He walked inside the closet and pulled a white sundress from a cabinet, then cut the tag on it. A smile crept on his face, feeling delighted at having Crystal with him, finally. Also, he pulled out some underwear and removed the tags, showing that the stuff is new and never worn. Lastly, a clean towel then goes back to the bathroom. He puts all the stuff on the counter in front of a wide mirror as he takes a glance at the showering lady inside the glass chamber while his eyes are twinkling at the sight of her.
"Crystal." He called for her, who abruptly pushed herself in the corner while trying hard to cover her naked body.
"Gabriel! Get out! Which of them you can't understand!?" But hearing the lady's mad voice again made him fragile to the bone.
"I just brought you a towel and your clothes." He informed her.
“Leave!” still in an irritating tone. Gabriel did not argue and just followed what the lady wanted.
After cleaning up her body, Crystal steps out of the shower with her dripping body and walks to the counter where she sees the clothes that Gabriel is talking about. She took the soft white towel first and rubbed it onto her hair and body, then slipped the clothes on. She looked around, trying to find some brush for her hair, but only got a small comb. Once done, she already stepped out and saw Gabriel, already wearing a shirt on top while preparing a lot of food on the table beside the pool.
“You’re done, come. I’m sure you’re starving.” Gabriel excitedly said, gesturing to her to walk closer, but Crystal didn’t move a bit.
“I want to get out of here.” Crystal coldly responded,
“Eat first.”
“I’m not hungry,”
“I don’t believe you.” Gabriel shortly retorted as he started taking steps closer to her.
“You’re the one who's a liar here,” the lady countered, glaring at the man who’s now towering in front of her.
“I never lied to you.”
“Whatever, just let me go.”
“Stop insisting because that will not happen unless your parents show up and get you,” Gabriel argued and abruptly grabbed her wrist that made Crystal shriek because of the pain when he put pressure on her bruise.
“Gabriel, you’re hurting me!” She complained while he was dragging her, but immediately halted and released when he remembered her sore wrists.
“I’m sorry,” He apologized and turned away and went inside the bathroom.
When he returned, he already had a tube of ointment in his hand.
“Come,” he said, holding the small of her back and carefully pulling her towards the chair in front of the table.
Crystal feels like drooling with the smell of the food beside her being served on the table while Gabriel gets down on one knee, tenderly holding her arm while dabbing the ointment on her skin. Suddenly, her belly growls shamefully.
“Still not hungry?” Gabriel inquired, as he laughed softly at her. Crystal only looked down, trying to hide her blushing face because of embarrassment.
After her wrists, Gabriel also grabbed her foot, followed by the other one to put some cream on it. Once done, he pulled the other seat near Crystal and settled himself, then served her plate with some food.
“Eat,” he demands, but the lady still refuses, shaking her head negatively.
”What really happened to you? Haven’t you noticed yourself? Your body looks so weak.” Gabriel remarked, looking at her, then heaved a sigh.
“Come on, I’ll let you leave after you eat.” He proposed, which made the lady look up to him and her plate with mashed potato and roast chicken. Gabriel took the spoon and handed it forward to her.
“Please,” he begged, and with a slow-motion Crystal took the utensil in his hand. Gabriel also puts some on his plate as well and the two had dinner together beside the lightning pool while Gabriel kept on taking glances at Crystal with a smile glued on his face.
After the dinner, the servants took out the dirty wares while Crystal impatiently couldn't wait for Gabriel’s word to let her leave the place already. The man is sitting on the long couch while reading a book while Crystal is pacing on the poolside until she can’t take it anymore and goes to Gabriel’s spot.
“Gabriel, I want to leave now.” She declared, but the man seems to be deaf again as he continues reading the book without answering her.
Crystal groaned in irritation and walked in front of him. She then abruptly snatched the book he’s holding and finally, Gabriel looked up at her.
“I’m leaving now, open the door.” again, she insisted.
“What did you tell me earlier? Yeah, I remember now, you said that I’m a liar, right?” He playfully mocks her.
“What do you mean?” with furrowed eyebrows, Crystal felt confused.
“I mean, I just lied when I said I’m letting you go.”
“What!? No! You can’t do this to me! Gabriel, I need to go back, please!” she kept on pleading. Gabriel stood up in front of her.
“Alright, then what if I let you go, where are you heading?” He asked, looking deep into her eyes.
“Back to that awful shack?” He added. Crystal’s eyes widen after learning that Gabriel knows where she is staying.
“Ho-How did you know?” she stammered.
“I see, so you really did not recognize me, huh?” Gabriel unbelievably stated as he walked to the glass wall and gaze outside.
“What do you mean?” She’s still confused.
“I followed you the night we met at the club. I even stayed there when you already went into the water,” he explained, walking towards the closet.
“I even saw this.” raising the golden bracelet that he gave to her before and sat on the bed while he put the bangle on the bedside table.
“Then I returned after the sunset and saw you shivering under your thin blanket.” He continues explaining.
“No, that’s impossible. It wasn’t you!” Crystal can’t believe the additional information.
“Stop lying!” she hissed as tears started falling again, but Gabriel only scoffed irritably.
“It is Jason who came and took care of me. It wasn’t you!” Crystal countered.
Gabriel's expression quickly changed like a savage man again when he abruptly moved and gripped her jaw with his firm hand as he walked forward, pushing her to the wall.
“I have warned you, I don’t want you spilling out another name except for mine, why are you so defiant huh!?” Gabriel furiously hisses at her like a beast but after a while, he slowly releases her when he realizes he’s being cruel and might hurt the lady once again.
Crystal is trembling in fear, trying to push the man away with her shaky hands, but Gabriel does not let her and suddenly embraces her body tightly.
“Crystal, I love you. Why would I lie to you?” He let out
