As everyone filed out of the office, I leaned back in my chair and released a long, deep breath. It was then that I caught Cyrus's gaze lingering on me. The fluttering feel returned to my stomach, spreading warmth through my body. Turning to meet his eyes, I gave him a subtle smile. He responded with a small nod, an unspoken acknowledgment passing between us. “So, what is next?” I asked him. “Well, I would like to speak with Alex next. Bring him in to formally introduce the two of you.
