REBECCA Many things were strange when I woke up. My bed was warmer than usual, and smelled differently too – like musk and leather; I felt strangely rested, as if I’d slept for a solid twelve hours … and there was a strange sound all around. An incessant, irritating clicking. It wasn’t just a clicking, though … it was more of a snapping, or something in between. My heart stopped and sank when I realized what that sound was – and when I turned to the window, I screamed. There was a man in my window – a man with a huge camera pointing right in my bedroom, and who let out a huge grin when I reacted. I acted even before knowing what was happening: my wolf growled, furious for his insolence in invading our space, and I suddenly found myself on my feet, marching towards the window.
