Chapter 59

2211 Words

*Amelia* I hate taking classes online, but I knew I couldn’t handle sitting in the classroom. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d even have the time at first. I’m managing it, but it’s so dull. This is why I dropped out in the first place. Sitting behind a desk for the rest of my life has no appeal. I panicked when Jim didn’t call, though. I’d already decided to keep the baby, and all I could think was that I was going to be a single mother and living off my dad. Dad wouldn’t have minded, but I would have. I’ve spent most of my life watching people take money from him. I don’t want to do that, too. I finish the lecture and hop in my car. I told Jim I was going shopping, and I am, but I need to get something from Dad’s house first. I park in the driveway and walk in, calling out to Dad.
