"Aye, Mike."
"What?" I yell back at my coworker as we are in the middle of a rush.
"I need you to cover for me." I look up and he just hold his hands up. I sigh and nod.
"Thanks man!" He then runs out as he takes his break.
I then go back to tending to the customers and I am handling everything very well. I always work better alone, but my boss doesn't see it that way. Anyone who works with me will always skip out for like an hour or two when things get hectic because they know that I work better that way. I don't have to worry about someone else messing anything up. Plus when things slow down they let me take about an hour and a half break, to chill out. So it is a win-win situation.
After about an hour, my coworker comes back and jumps in to help. But I have pretty much already gotten things done and caught up. After about an hour or two, I decide to go out and take my break. It is about the time that things slow down, anyways. I head out back and pull out a cig. I light it up and rest my back against the wall.
