I finished making up the bed and smiled sadly around the room that had been mine for the last week. I was sad to be leaving this place and to be leaving Carter. Over the last few days, we had grown closer and I had developed quite strong feelings towards him. It wasn’t going to be easy turning my back on him but today was the day. Russel was being transferred at ten. I glanced at my phone and nodded. An hour minutes to go. I made sure I had all my things packed and headed downstairs. I placed the bag in the boot of my car and when I heard footsteps approaching, I turned to see Carter coming towards me. This was all a part of the plan. Carter would say goodbye to me, I would promise to return soon and then I would drive away. Only I would be setting up a trap on the main road.
