“Looking good,” Gale shouted out as I kept up the pace. Left, right, left, right. I moved as fast and as hard as I could. I could hear Gale grunting from behind the punching bag, but I didn’t stop.
“Hey,” Derick greeted as I saw him from the corner of my eye.
“Hi, Alpha,” Gale greeted him back politely. She had joined the pack and I, for one, was happy about that.
“So, Carter’s mate is Russel’s sister,” he suddenly announced. I stopped punching and turned to face him.
“Could you say that again?” I asked. Of all the things to say, I had not been expecting that.
“Russel’s sister, her name is Roxanne, she is Carter’s mate,” he informed me with a small smile. I stared at my mate and I honestly had conflicting emotions about the news. On one hand, I was happy for my brother.
