KILL ME NOW

I looked to my side to see a bunch of thugs surrounding and staring at us in a dusty place. I narrowed my eyes and looked at my mom. Bless her soul, she is yet to faint which is a good thing. "What happened?" I asked in a quiet tone leaning towards her with my eyebrows furrowed. "Your dad got drunk and tried to fix that-" She stopped nudging towards a man, who emits a dangerous aura. "Guy's theater. He broke it, so he went into hiding to escape them." She said through her clattering teeth. She trembled and hugged herself, trying to comfort herself while I had my hands in the pocket. I tried to move and hug her, to comfort her.... but I just couldn't. It was as if my body had a mind of it's own. Through my peripheral vision I could see a few men looking towards the other side. And suddenly I could hear someone pant right behind me. I jumped and looked behind me and I saw a man, bruised and battered, blood dripping down his chin. My eyes widened as I realized who it was. Dad. I wanted to say something but the words got stuck in my throat and I could only feel a lump forming there. My dad was the guy that believed boys don't and shouldn't cry. That it makes them weak but I could see a few tears forming in the corner of his eyes. Two guys were holding him, he couldn't even stand straight. WHY CAN'T I MOVE?? My mother's gasp got my attention and I looked at her. I saw her looking at my father. No, her gaze was much lower. I followed her gaze and I blinked my eyes in disbelief, I felt dizzy when I saw what she was looking at. There was a stitch mark in his lower abdomen. "I took his kidney out to pay for the damages." The theater guy said from behind us. I heard my mom break down and my dad make a pitiful sound in the back of his throat. But I didn't look at them. I looked at the guy that was standing in front of me holding a metal pipe, the theater's owner. I felt the rage course through my veins along with helplessness. WHY CAN'T I FUCKING MOVE? I thought to myself once again in anger. He was suddenly standing right in front of me with my dad in between him and the pipe, the pipe dangerously close to my dad's neck. I saw as he bent the pipe with his bare hands around my father's neck. I tried to shout but all I could do was watch as he was strangled to death with my mouth wide open. Then he was hanging right on top of me. His toes are the only thing I could see as all the other thugs retreated, walking far away from the shady place. Did they even realize what they just did? That they just killed a person? Robbed a child of her dad? Robbed a wife of her husband. I looked up and squinted my eyes. ~~~~ 'WTF?' I thought to myself as I got up panting violently for air. 'It was just a dream. It was just a dream.' I told myself over and over again, trying to calm my nerves. That felt awfully real. I can still feel adreline rushing through my veins as I tried to look up, look up at my dad's dead body. I slapped my cheeks and tried to reason with me. It was just a very real dream. I told myself as I felt my body calm down finally. I looked over at my nightstand and grabbed my phone. It said 7:30 am. Knowing I probably wouldn't get any sleep after that nightmare, I got up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and looked at the mirror in front of me. That dream felt so real. I shook my head, not wanting to think of it anymore and got dressed for school. 'Only a couple more months then I'll be free from this hell hole.' I thought gleefully.
