Calla’s POV Luna had taken over the dining table, printed documents scattered across it like pieces of a complicated puzzle. Jake stood next to her, and they both examined the information we had gathered with a seriousness that made me anxious. “This is much bigger than we realized,” Luna said as Kane and I joined them. I could still feel the lingering warmth of our earlier connection. I wondered if Luna noticed how we looked or that we’d been gone for twenty minutes, but she didn’t mention it. “How much bigger?” Kane asked, placing a comforting hand on my lower back. Jake slid a folder towards us. “These bank records show that Marcus has been sending money to Judge Harlow. He’s been making regular payments every month for the past three years, adding up to about half a million dollars
