Blame is a wicked burden for anyone to bear. Whether it is something miniscule such as a stained garment or the difference between life and death, this specific blame would be directed exclusively to me in the form of a letter from my brother's hand. The words would forever haunt me with a painful reverberation of events I believed long forgotten and forgiven were now spoken of in great detail. But the most horrible line throughout the entire collection of memories returned to the surface like skeletons in the back of one's closet coming to life would be the last line, claiming my relationship with Shane to be the tipping point in his decision to end his life.
