Emily felt as if she couldn't breathe. Her heart sank at the view in front of her.
Of course Zach had treated her worse than any Alpha would and there were times that she would get so frustrated and wished to moon that he would get struck by lightning or she herself could rip his face off but seeing the sight in front of her made her feel as if her entire world was turned upside down.

The Alpha's left arm was on his friend's shoulder and he was leaning his body weight on his friend. His eyes were barely open, as if he was slipping in and out of consciousness. But his face caught her attention, scratches and bruises were marring his face and it appeared swollen with bruises.
