At Kade’s lewd comment, he began to get a scolding from his sister, so I made my exit to shower and put on some comfortable pajamas. When I returned, Maeve was just about to leave.
“See you soon, Kade. And you better be nice,” she told him, wagging her finger.
He smirked.
“Sure, whatever. Just stay safe out there.”
Kade sounded like any loving brother would, and something inside of me melted.
