Lana’s POV
Kade had me so flustered that I had almost forgotten I was starting my new job that day and ended up running late. There wasn’t time to grab something to eat, but luckily I now worked at a café, and the boss was nice enough to provide a free meal during my shift. Rushing out the door to wait for my taxi, I turned to see Kade with his motorcycle.
The sight of him in full black next to the sleek black machine stopped me dead in my tracks. He turned to me with his helmet in his hand, and his chocolate gaze lingered a moment.
When our gazes met, the corner of his lips tipped upward into a smirk.
