Alicia sat beside his bed and gently took his hand. Ethen’s eyelashes vibrated before his eyes opened wide.
Alicia didn’t know he was awake so, pressing his hand against her forehead, she cried out, “I… I am sorry, Ethen. I didn’t know what you were doing for me all this time. I was just so mad that I wanted to make your life miserable.”

She flinched and left his hand immediately. Hastily she wiped her tears and tried to be strong.
