Damien wasn't sure what woke him but he was wide awake now. He sat on the bed and glanced on the other side, frowning to find the bed empty. Where was Hazel? He climbed down the bed and softly opened the door, heading outside. It was all pin drop silence upstairs.
"Hazel?" Damien murmured, peeking into Summer's room. But she was not there either. Damien peeked into the study but there was no trace of her either.
"Hazel?" Damien called again as he headed downstairs, the wooden stairs creaking beneath his feet as always. "Haze...are you here?"
