Darkness. That's all that my senses could pick up. I couldn't even make out a single shadow hidden in a far corner. My body felt like it was detached from my brain with no a single neuron connected. No control, no feeling, no nothing. I tried to concentrate on feeling my fingers or even my toes but came out short. I felt my eyebrows furrow together as I tried harder, them being the only thing to attach itself back to its receptors for me to feel. Beep. Beep. Beep. The fainest of sounds could be finally heard for a distance. I tried even harder, trying to pick up anything. Beep. Beep. Finally, the squeaking of a machine nearby made itself more obvious to my ears and slowly, my other senses returned one by one, the pain in my headache coming back to me in full force. Light
