"Is she up yet?" Someone sighed. "Kate's a tough one. She'll get up soon." I recognised that voice. It nagged me a million times before. "Come on lazy bones. You need to get up. Ash misses his mommy." Zoe directed her words to me, her tone louder. I tried lifting my hand but felt like I had no control over my muscles. Every move hurt and my mind struggled to stay awake.
