The house felt quieter than usual and for the first time in days there was a serene energy around this place. Ever since the incidence with Matteo, I've been staying with them and though there's been a little chaos, I've loved it here.
Today, we were stretched across Matteo's bed, the sheets rumpled between us. There were cards scattered between us, some in hand as we stared at the cards like we were into some battle of wits.
