DANGEROUS GAMES

I watched Callie disappear into the Dean's office, disappearing with a piece of myself I didn't know existed. I walked out of the Dean's building, wanting to go home, but something in me stopped my movement.
I'll just wait for her out here until she comes back.
Why I was waiting or why I cared was something beyond me, I mean, she could've chosen Santiago for all I knew. But my wolf was restless, pacing under my skin like he was ready to claw the walls down if she didn’t come out soon.
The mate bond shouldn’t be this strong…. Not this early.
But no amount of reasoning or pride could make me leave, so I leaned against the opposite wall and settled into doing the one thing I hated most. Waiting.
