What happens during the crowning ceremony?
It is a centuries old tradition that has been followed since the beginning of Valerian rule. The chosen ruler of the Valerian royal bloodline is crowned heir to the throne. And even though the King still holds authority, almost all responsibility falls on the crowned heir. They rule under the King’s guidance, learning as they go.
The crowning ceremony consists of two parts: the public crowning and the secret blood ceremony.
Although for the first time in centuries we have decided to expose our traditions to the world, some things still remain hidden. And that includes the blood ceremony, which will take place late at night inside the ancient church, just before I go hunting and bring back the sacred offering as the Provider.
