A loud bang woke me from my sleep. I sat up in bed wiping the sleep from my eyes as I looked around the room. It couldn't be too late, I felt as though I had only been asleep for ten minutes.
“Kane” I whispered, trying to wake him, I eyed everything around the room and it all looked fine.
“Ka...” I called out to him again, this time I looked beside me to see he wasn't there. I should have known really. The fact I sat up easily was the first sign. He is usually sprawled out on top of me, I always have to push him off of me just to go pee.
