By the time I get to my suite I calm down a bit. I can see she is toying with me. She wants me to see that she is not impressed by my money, but I will show her something other than my millions.
I remember I should call my mother. I look up the time difference on the Internet and I’m surprised to see it’s only two hours. It’s half past eleven here and half past one there. I dial her.
It rings a couple of times before she answers.
“Greetings, Mother.”
“Oh, my darling Jamal! I thought you’d forgotten about your mother.”
“Of course not, I just had a lot to do.”
