The look on Anye's face can not be explained as she stands frozen for a second. The words play right in my head all of a sudden. Of course I Love Anye but just as a friend and not the way she must be thinking that I do right now.
"I love you Anye because you're my friend. Even in this short while that we've known each other I think it's been splendid and amazing for me and it hurts to see you like this." I further say hoping that it clears every single thought that she must have had in this little space of time, thanks to my tongue slip.
"You love me? You hate to see me like this?" She laughs sarcastically. "David please give me a break. You think you can just take my heart and shred it in pieces and I'll only smile and be happy about it?" She says.
