Roses

THE NEXT DAY Crystal stirred in her sleep. She stretched her hand to pull Elina closer to her chest. She patted and felt the side Elina should be lying in before being startled awake when she felt no one by her side. She turned her head, scanning the room, praying she finds her. She rushed out of the bed when she found no one. She dashed through the door and searched the house in search of her. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Elina in the living room, with Jason. "Hey." Jason waved at her when he sensed her standing in the room, with a wolfish grin. "Hey." She waved back with a soft smile. Wait why the hell am I smiling. She thought to herself with a frown. "Where were you two." She asked walking towards the two and noticing Elina's change of attire. "Mama." Elina stopped playing with her doll and said with a toothy grin. She was in a pink shirt and a Jean skirt with her hair tied in pigtails. Crystal's heart swooned when she lookers at her. Elina looked adorable. Crystal bent over and gave her a kiss. Jason looked at Crystal, looking at Elina in adoration, with admiration. His eyes slowly slid down her body and choked on his saliva. Jason's cough caught Crystal's attention. She turned a around with a questioning look, when she saw his red face facing the other side. She looked at him frowning and looked at herself. At what she was wearing specifically and turned red in embarrassment. She was wearing a golden satin night dress which reached her mid thigh. If she bent a little she can show the other person behind her what she was wearing inside. And she bent down to kiss Elina, and he was behind her. Crystal looked at Jason accusingly. Feeling her burn his temple with her accusing glare he turned around to look at her, his face no longer red. "I did not see anything." He said biting his lower lip, lying through his teeth, trying to keep himself from smiling. Crystal took a deep breath and looked at him through narrowed slits, and turned around to change her outfit. Jason heaved a sigh of relief. 'Saved by the child.' His wolf reminded him. 'Indeed.' He thought with a smile. "Daddy are you gonna give those to mommy." Elina asked Jason pointing towards the bouquet of roses. Elina always wanted a dad so she accepted Jason with hesitation. And them hanging out this morning made their bond even better. "Yes." Jason said with a slight smile, as he held the flowers he forgot to give her while she was here. Elina looked down with a pout on her face. "But you can ask your mother later for one if you want to." Jason said after contemplating for a few seconds. "Can you give it to her now then." Elina said with a toothy grin. "Sure, let's go." Jason chuckled and said. He stretched his arm open and lifted the tiny human from the couch. Crystal changed her outfit and looked at her in the mirror and nodded in approval. She made her way towards the door and was about to go out but Jason stood there with Elina in one hand, and a bouquet in another. The bouquet had dark red roses. He stretched out his hand to give the bouquet to her with a wide smile. Crystal's breath got caught in her throat as her heart beat sped, and reached out her hand to take it still mesmerized. "Black roses for my black rose. There were no black roses in the shop so let's pretend they are black, aye." He asked as he leaned in to kiss her cheek. Her heart beat was loud enough for Jason's wolf ear to listen. Am I falling for him. Crystal asked herself.
