"Mark me. Now." Madelyn looked up, looking straight into his eyes. He felt like she was looking at her school with those dead-serious eyes. The option was so lucrative that Lucian was battling to give in to the temptation. But after a long minute of the battle between what he needed to do and what he wanted to do, he let out a deep sigh of frustration and defeat. "I am sorry. I can't do that." Lucian said dejectedly. "Why?" She asked with a sad tone. She was trying hard not to cry or show her weakness. "I wish I could share all the details with you, but I can't. Trust me a little longer.
