Erik growled quietly and fired his gun point-blank into a bright-orange lizard yaoguai with cybernetic legs and metal fangs, and its head exploded. Bullets fired by an advancing bug Elite bounced off his shield, and a nearby exo blew it away with a rocket.
It might have been a short battle so far, but it’d been intense. Five or ten more minutes of fighting, and he’d run dry. He had only a handful of grenades and a single rocket left. The other exo pilots present obviously realized the same thing since he’d seen exos step back and strap in new ammo packs with the help of non-suited soldiers. He didn’t want to have to steal ammo from the dead and wounded, but it might be inevitable.
